Privacy Policy.
Last updated: September 5, 2026
YDelay Group Inc. (“YDelay”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website and the individuals and organizations we work with. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. It applies to ydelay.com and the services, content, and communications we provide through it.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you provide. When you contact us, request a consultation, register for the YDelay Academy, subscribe to updates, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, role, and any details you choose to share.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit our website we may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and the dates and times of your visits.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used (see “Cookies” below).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to enquiries and deliver the consulting, technology, and training services you request;
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services;
- To send proposals, updates, and information you have requested or that are relevant to an existing engagement;
- To analyse usage and trends so we can improve the experience;
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and those of our clients.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
YDelay is based in Canada and handles personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), which is built on obtaining meaningful consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information. Where other applicable law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) requires it, we also process personal information on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate business interests, and/or compliance with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Service providers who perform functions on our behalf (for example hosting, analytics, email, and customer-relationship tools), under appropriate confidentiality obligations;
- Professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors, and insurers;
- Authorities or other parties where required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of YDelay, our clients, or others;
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. AI Assistant (Chat and Voice)
Our website offers an AI assistant that answers questions about our services, case studies, and training. Using it is entirely optional — you can browse the site and contact us without it.
- What is processed. The messages you type or speak, a randomly generated session identifier used to keep the conversation coherent, your IP address, and basic technical details such as whether you are using a mobile device. If you choose to use the assistant’s contact panel, we also collect the name, email address, company, and phone number you enter there.
- How it works. Your messages are sent from your browser to our own server, which passes them to a third-party large language model provider that generates the reply. If you turn on spoken replies, the text of the reply is sent to a third-party speech synthesis provider to produce the audio. Voice input uses your browser’s built-in speech recognition; depending on the browser you use, that audio may be processed by your browser or device vendor under their own privacy policy.
- Why we use it. To answer your questions, help you find relevant information, and — where you ask us to get in touch — route your enquiry to the right team.
- Retention. Conversations are kept only as long as needed to operate and improve the assistant and to follow up on enquiries. Details you submit through the contact panel are handled in the same way as any other enquiry (see Data Retention below).
- Please do not submit sensitive information. The assistant is a general enquiry tool. Please do not enter payment card details, government identifiers, health information, passwords, or confidential client material.
A current list of the providers that support the assistant is available on request using the contact details below.
6. Cookies
Cookies are small files placed on your device. We use essential cookies to make the site work and analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the site functions.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, and to resolve disputes.
8. Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. If you are in Canada, you may also raise a concern with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
10. International Transfers
YDelay is based in Canada. If you access our website or services from outside Canada, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in Canada or other countries where we or our service providers operate.
11. Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and professionals and are not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
13. Changes to This Policy
